The MK1 Audi TT is notorious for having door panels where the upper edge gets lifted up and caught on the windows when you’re rolling the window up or down. This happens because the glue that holds the interior door panel vinyl material to the door itself loosens up. With every subsequent raising or lowering of the window, the vinyl material gets caught on the glass and makes it worse. An unfortunate side effect is the streaks of door panel glue that ends up getting on the window glass as well.

There will be times when you may be required to remove your door panel on your BMW E46. Some common reasons for doing so are to replace the speakers, change out the speaker trim, and to gain access to the tweeter and power mirrors. It’s not very difficult to remove the door panels of the E46, but it does help to know exactly what you need to do to separate the door panel from the door.
